Say hello to one of our stellar sophomore mentors, Cindy Feng! Cindy, along with her co-mentor, mentors two students in the Minds Matter Bay Area (MMBay) program. On Saturdays, these quads work together to figure out everything from what students are passionate about to what colleges will best support them in pursuing their dreams.

What is your favorite part of Minds Matter Bay Area?

Mentoring with Minds Matter Bay Area has been a challenging and rewarding experience. I love witnessing students' transformative journeys and celebrating their triumphs!

What are your relationships like with the students you work with?

We're a team! My co-mentor and I try to create a safe environment where they can freely express themselves and pursue their dreams. Through care, support, and attentive listening, I strive to positively impact their lives and empower them to achieve their full potential.

What is your favorite Minds Matter Bay Area memory?

One of my favorite memories with Minds Matter Bay Area is from our annual college fair event. The event was filled with students engaging with college representatives, asking insightful questions, and envisioning their futures was truly inspiring. The successful college fair also showcased the immense effort of mentors and volunteers as they engaged with students about the colleges they attended.
