Amy Brennen
College Admissions and Financial Aid Advisor
Meet our amazing volunteer, Amy Brennen! Amy is an advisor for college admissions and financial aid. She works tirelessly to provide our students with the support they need to navigate the challenging journey to pursue higher education. Amy's dedication and expertise has enabled our community to bridge the opportunity gap by providing educational resources to low-income students in the Bay Area.
“Too often the college application process reinforces existing inequities. That’s why the work that MMSF does to close this gap is so powerful and so badly needed.”
What Is Your Favorite Minds Matter Memory? Working with students, helping them navigate their future and seeing their dreams come to life! It’s great to use my background as a volunteer, and I highly recommend anyone with a background in advising or admissions to volunteer too.
What Inspired You to Become an Instructor? Being a teenager, applying for college, and figuring out your future is tough. And it’s even harder for our students who don’t have knowledge about how these systems work. That’s why we need Minds Matter to support these talented students and help close this gap.
